I absolutely agree with you Mum! What the hell else are they supposed to do? They are the poorest people probably w/o cars or insurance. I am sure all those businesses have insurance to replace their loss and I feel they should use the police force to help get the remaining individuals the hell outta there. What are they gonna do with the looters anyway...lock them up on the highway overpass with the rest of the inmates who had to flee the jail?

Absolutely!!! Honestly that scares me some because New Orleans is only about 400 miles from here and mosquitoes can carry nasty illness and spread it to the birds and so on. We don't need an epidemic running rampant...I'm sitting here watching the Pres flappin his jaws! Don't buy gas unless you "need it???" he can't be serious! We are not Europe...we do not have mass transit people and have to drive to work. Believe me I wouldn't buy gas if I didn't have too...BUT I DO!
The looters are getting serious now too shooting at the helicopters. The anger and the heat too much to bare... I wonder how many are going to die by violence? Did you see the man who had jumped to his death?
This is reminding me of Steven Kings "The Stand" it must feel apocalyptic!!!

This Situation is so outta hand! It makes no sense to me...I cannot stop thanking GOD that I am not stuck in the middle of that and praying that he comfort those whose famliy memebers are dying in front of them because they have no food or water not to mention the hundreds who need medical attention.
I visited New Orleans 20 years ago and had one of the best times of my life! Such a wonderful city with history and class. The people were incredible the food was incredible the atmosphere was incredible and now>>>>>>...... I have absolutely zero sympathy for people who go around looting and robbing people, making an already dangerous area even worse. For shame!

I'm not talking about the looters carrying a tv on their shoulder LOL..I'm talking of the ones trying to find food and water...can you imagine being in 94 degree weather with no water or food for 4 days?????

That's different. I don't consider that so much looting as surviving.

For Sure...I've had enough reality Tv lately!
It is sad how a few bad apples have spoiled the whole bunch. I really can't see how breaking into a store for food and water in a situation like that is wrong. Now those sons a bitches carrying Nike's around??? Makes no sense unless they were giving them to people who didn't have any shoes. IDK I really can't say for sure what I would do in their shoes...except I am certain I wouldn't just stand around I would have started walking as soon as I could have!
